Description

The Sons of Henrey Byron Field Boot is your best companion for Fall and Winter. Anything you throw at it, it can take. The Sons of Henrey Byron field boot now comes in this striking Chestnut Jamaica Kudu..

At Sons of Henrey, we have become known for our incredible choice of leather. The Kudu calf leather that we use for this pair of Chukka boots comes from the Charles F. Stead tannery. Based in the United Kingdom, this family-owned tannery is well known for their high quality leather.

Kudu leather comes from the Kudu Antelope, a wild animal that is very common in Africa. It is finished with a so-called 'Jamaica' grain pattern, an irregular, wild and distinctive grain pattern.  It is a new Kudu tannage with embossed and tipped finish that gives the leather a unique and striking texture. We recommend brushing the shoes after every wear to remove dirt and restore the luster of the leather. Saphir Dark Brown shoe wax can be used to shine the leather.

Made on the Elegant Round last, the shoes feature a slim waist, medium instep height and medium width across the ball. At the toe and under the vamp, there is extra volume for your feet. The heel to ball dimension, critical for a good fit, is the same for all Sons of Henrey lasts. We advise you to take the same size as you would in Carmina or Crockett & Jones. Size down half a size from your Edward Green or Gaziano & Girling size, and size up half a size from your Carlos Santos size.

Care

Keep your shoes free from dirt in between wears by brushing the upper and the welt area with a coarse brush. If your shoes are particularly dirty, use a damp rag. Untreated leather will dry out over time and become brittle. Regular application of a natural leather conditioner is recommended to keep leather supple and hydrated. Apply conditioner with a cotton rag and brush off with a soft brush.
