The Sons of Henrey Byron Field Boot

The Sons of Henrey Byron Field Boot is your ideal companion for fall and winter. Rugged and reliable, it can handle whatever you throw at it. Now available in a striking Chestnut Jamaica Kudu, this boot offers a bold and sophisticated look.

At Sons of Henrey, we’ve become known for our exceptional leather selection. The Kudu calf leather used for this pair comes from Charles F. Stead, a renowned family-owned tannery based in the United Kingdom. Known for producing some of the finest leathers in the world, Charles F. Stead supplies us with Kudu leather sourced from the Kudu antelope—a wild animal native to Africa.

This particular leather is finished with the distinctive ‘Jamaica’ grain, an irregular, wild, and visually captivating pattern. It features a new Kudu tannage with an embossed and tipped finish, resulting in a uniquely textured and eye-catching surface. We recommend brushing the boots after each wear to remove dirt and restore the leather’s luster. For added shine, apply Saphir Dark Brown shoe wax.

Crafted on our Elegant Round last, the Byron Field Boot offers a slim waist, medium instep height, and a medium width across the ball of the foot. Extra volume at the toe and under the vamp ensures comfort, while the heel-to-ball measurement—critical for fit—is consistent across all Sons of Henrey lasts.

Sizing advice:

Take your regular size if you wear Carmina or Crockett & Jones. Size down half a size from your Edward Green or Gaziano & Girling size, and up half a size from your Carlos Santos size.

Group Made To Order

Group Orders are a way of getting your hands on a unique pair of Goodyear welted shoes. The intention of a group order is to get 6 or more people to commit to a pair of Sons of Henrey shoes that is not offered as part of our Core Collection.

Care

Keep your shoes free from dirt in between wears by brushing the upper and the welt area with a coarse brush. If your shoes are particularly dirty, use a damp rag. Untreated leather will dry out over time and become brittle. Regular application of a natural leather conditioner is recommended to keep leather supple and hydrated. Apply conditioner with a cotton rag and brush off with a soft brush.
